Я решил свою проблему с помощью/etc/init.d/skeleton сценария для вызова xinit.

Затем запустил приложения внутри/path/to/.xinitrc

Для запущения приложения независимо просто экспортируют ДИСПЛЕЙ = ':0.0' прежде, чем запустить приложение.

$ export DISPLAY=':0.0' 
$ myapp 

Приложение могло также быть запущено внутри .xinitrc
