Для выбора неиспользованного UniqueID для Вас новый пользователь Вы могли использовать:

... затем используйте последовательность паломника команд dscl, дал, чтобы создать учетную запись и затем создать корневой каталог нового пользователя с:

Хорошо, я работал над этим некоторое время, и я наконец получил его работа.

Я закончил тем, что использовал новый "новомодный" сервис Ubuntu. Это - замена для/etc/init.d системы.

Вот то, как это работало на меня:

Я поместил файл в/etc/event.d, который описывает мой процесс:

description "node.js comet server"
author      "Chris"

start on startup
stop on shutdown
exec /usr/local/bin/node /path/to/comet.js > /dev/null &
respawn

Затем я перезапустил, и это работало! Намного лучше и легче, чем запись/etc/init.d сценарии!

Это - полностью выстрел в темноте, потому что я не знаком с start-stop-daemon Ubuntu, но возможно он уже делает STDIN/STDOUT/STDERR перенаправление и управление заданиями? Достаточно легко протестировать - просто удаляют ">/dev/null и" от бэкэнда $DAEMON_ARGS.

    Хорошо I' тест ll это. I' m выполнение некоторого переделывания его прямо сейчас. Последнее решение я отправил на самом деле doesn' t работают все же, it' s пропускающий весь материал LSB; так I' m работающий над этим теперь. Спасибо Justin.:) –   20 August 2009 в 06:02

Вот init.d сценарий, который я использую ежедневно для контроля node.js серверов на Debian. Это должно работать, "как" на Ubuntu. Это достаточно универсально, чтобы позволить системному администратору выполнить несколько экземпляров узла под различными именами пользователей при запуске
